The Parks Foundation helped the Park District of Oak Park celebrate the grand opening of the Gymnastics and Recreation Center, located at 21 Lake Street, on Saturday, October 5th. An enthusiastic group of residents, volunteers and Park District employees gathered outside the GRC for a ribbon cutting ceremony and the chance to tour the new facility and watch a gymnastics team practice.

Parks Foundation board members mingled with residents in the main tent outside the new 18,670 square-foot facility, providing information on how the Foundation works to enhance the parks and community life.
