Intermission at Ridgeland Common

It’s Time for Intermission at Ridgeland Common
The Parks Foundation of Oak Park invites you to a special celebration at the Paul Hruby Ice Arena

Saturday, February 16 – 4pm – 7:30pm

Be a part of history on Saturday, February 16 as some very special guests help us say goodbye to the old Ridgeland Common…and look forward to a renovated flagship facility in 2014!

The celebration starts at 4pm with the renewal of a great Oak Park rivalry as alumni from OPRF and Fenwick play one of the last hockey games on the old rink. Emily Blim performs a special figure skating exhibition at 5:15pm. Chicago Blackhawks organist Frank Pellico will then provide the soundtrack for the last 2 hour public skate in the ice arena.

There will be appearances by former Blackhawks players and Hawks mascot Tommy Hawk and a Parks Foundation drawing featuring exciting prizes, including ice rentals when Ridgeland Common reopens in 2014, a School of Rock Performance Camp, Blackhawks tickets…and much more!

Admission is $6 or free with rink pass. Skate rentals are available while they last for $2 and the concession stand will be open all afternoon.

Come out and celebrate Ridgeland Common’s past, present…and future!!

Intermission at Ridgeland Common is sponsored by the Wednesday Journal, School of Rock Oak Park, Big Smiles Center for Orthodontic Excellence, DTKindler Photography and Vitamin Water.
